These essays are usually self-deprecating and identify faults in the liberal argument, suggesting that their argument is faulty. The conservative argument is often thought provoking and that is what draws many people to it. It is a natural tendency to criticize the faults of others but it should not be done in an aggressive way.
Writers should keep in mind that the conservative content for their essay is needed to make the original purpose of writing, namely, to provide factual information to the reader. There is nothing wrong with presenting your opinion, but should be done in a constructive manner. The words you use should still convey what you wanted to convey. Conservative essay topics generally focus on issues relating to leadership, governance, ethics, leadership training, ethics and integrity, etc. These are topics that come up in schools and work places as well as politics, or if you prefer, liberal topics. Perhaps your interest is in the role of technology in business. Writing this part of your essay might have been a liberal topic in the past but is becoming more conservative as more businesses embrace technology. This article is not meant to disparage the liberal world, but rather to look at the reasons why many conservative subjects are becoming more popular these days. Conservatives are on the defense more often than not and they want to do what is right and help the world rather than going around defending themselves. Conservatives find themselves in the position of knowing they are not doing the right thing so they do whatever is necessary to correct their mistakes. On the other hand, liberals are forever defending themselves and as a result they are the targets of criticism. The reader wants a right side and left side to the debate so the best way to address this dilemma is by turning to conservative topics. Conservatives do not usually attack other conservativesdirectly but rather attempt to build a defense against their opponent by refuting their logic. Conservatives do not rush into debates and instead try to win a contest of ideas. While liberals do try to win by painting their opponents as racist, homophobic, or sex-obsessed they do not attack the opponents directly. Conservative essay topics tend to be positive and optimistic. Many liberal topics are negative and tend to promote hatred, prejudice, discrimination, and discrimination based on religion, race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, etc. While these topics can be used to make a good point, they can also be used to make a bad point. Instead of being politically correct and attempting to make the opposite party look bad, the conservative writer will use facts and real life examples to tell the truth about their opponents. This makes them appear more appealing and gives a more positive outlook. Conservative essay topics tend to be direct, but well written. Although they may say something negative about someone, the conservative writer will avoid personal attacks, insult, and emotional outbursts. They will not call someone names or belittle them and they will not turn their reader against them. Instead, they will stand their ground and let their facts speak for themselves. Conservative essay topics should make the reader think, not just agree with them. They should make their viewpoint seem to be the correct one and they should not put down anyone. In addition, the writer should make sure the essay is balanced. Some liberals and conservatives will get along but in order to remain politically correct some opinions are offensive to some.
